It's very bad seeing the rate at which fraud increases in Nigeria. On daily basis, these fraudsters keeping devising new and unknown strategies to getting their victims.
According to a recent news by Punch, six suspected bank account hackers was arrested in Anambra, at the UNIZIK temporary site , Awka.
These suspects include: Uche Louis (21 years) , from Mbieri , Imo State ; Junior Abamu ( 25 years) from Uromi , Edo State ; Chinemelem Anugwam (21 years), from Mbano , Imo State; Agaro Afo ( 26 years) , from Ideze , Delta State ; and Abraham Patrick (25 years) from Obubra , Cross River State .

The major reason I'm sharing this news is for you not to be a victim of this type of fraud.
According to the Anambra Police Public Relation Officer, Haruna Mohammed; these suspects were said to specialise in stealing people's telephones with the purpose of hacking into their victims' bank accounts.
23 telephones and N 102 ,000 were recovered from these suspects , including the N 851, 000 they have withdrawn from a victim’ s account before they were arrested.
These suspects always succeed in stealing people's phones especially while on a commercial vehicle or motorcycle.
It was stated that while on a commercial motorcycle, the hackers would always cough repeatedly on the direction of the fellow passenger, this irritates and distracts the passenger; giving the hacker chance to steal the victim's phone.
When these hackers steal any phone, they make use of the information stored on the phone to hack into the victim's bank account, and empty the account.
Obey these tips to prevent your account being hacked:
1. Always be careful with your phone.
When ever a fellow passenger, (either in a bus or motorcycle) coughs repeatedly towards your direction, try to be guided.
2. Know the type of person with which you board Okada or motorcycle.
3. Try not to save in your phone all the relevant information that guarantees access to your bank account. You may try writing your bank information on a diary Which you always keep at home.
4. You may try to always put your phone in a lock or password. This ensures that whenever one steals your phone, he would have to flash it before accessing your. This ensures that the relevant information in your phone is wiped during the process of flashing.
